Had the most amazing of stays at this beautiful hotel. From the moment we arrived we received a warm welcome and was made to feel at home. The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. The rooms were warm and inviting, the beds comfortable and the food delicious. The gardens were so well maintained and a pleasure to explore. The view of Conway castle from our room (and dining room) was stunning. I had the most wonderful of weekends..a highlight of 2024

Had a facial with Diana. My wife had been booked in but due to some gum pain asked me if I'd take her place as she didn't want to inconvenience the hotel. As a man, I'll be honest, spas and treatments are my kind of hell but after having a lovely, relaxing facial with Diana, I can honestly say I'll be doing more of this in the future. Diana's a lovely lady - we had a great chat about life, the universe and everything, and I left feeling brilliantly relaxed. My wife said my skin looked a lot better too. Five stars for Diana and Bodysgallen.

I booked an afternoon tea at Bodysgallen to celebrate my brother’s 60th birthday and we were not disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The hall and grounds are beautiful, the staff attentive and helpful and the afternoon tea sublime. Chef’s scones are the best we have tasted! I would definitely recommend a visit.

Fabulous historic hall set in beautiful gardens with views over Snowdonia. A lovely place to stay within easy reach of Llandudno, Conway and Anglesey. The hotel offers top-notch customer service - everyone, including the garden staff were really polite and friendly! Fine dining for breakfast and dinner was a great treat- silver service with proper linen- something you rarely see anymore.

We have just returned from a four day break at Bodysgallen. Our Stay in a quirky spa cottage, provided us with all the comfort, privacy and peace we required, within easy reach of the main hotel. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. Every member of staff we encountered from housekeepers, gardeners and reception staff were charming, but special mention should be made of the dining room team. They made our experience exceptional, always attentive without being intrusive, and always greeted by a generous welcome and smile even when the restaurant was busy. The food was outstanding, albeit the menu slightly limited on Mondays and Tuesdays. Our only disappointment during our stay was our experience in the spa, we used this before dinner every evening as a way of relaxing after a day out exploring and walking in beautiful north wales. Unfortunately the spa is not exclusive to hotel residents, with paid membership subscription offered to the local community. This meant at times it felt more like a municipal pool, with serious swimmers diving, tumble turning, and repeatedly pounding lengths which restricted pool space and increased poolside noise level for hotel residents. Not quite the spa experience we were hoping for, but perhaps with a little thought the hotel could find a compromise that would please all users. A bonus to our stay was beautiful sunshine all week and complimentary NT tickets to Bodnant gardens provided by hotel reception.

We checked in and had room nine at the top, which was lovely and cosy. We loved all the little touches. It was very comfortable and we had super views of the grounds from the window. We then swapped rooms for the second night because we were on a last minute booking. we were given a cottage in the grounds. Which was absolutely amazing with a small kitchen, cosy living room, spotless bathroom and lovely bedroom. It was so good we have booked to come back again to that very room. This was called the new cottage. We asked staff which was their favourite room and they say room five, so maybe in a future holiday we will stay there. We stayed for dinner and had lamb which was superb. There was lots of skill in the dish. Breakfast was also of an equally high standard. I had the porridge which came with a jug of cream, delicious. My husband had a full Welsh breakfast, which he said was beautifully cooked. While we were there, we took a walk around the grounds. We also went to the Spa and had a swim. It was a good temperature and there was also a hot tub which was nice and hot and bubbly. All the staff looked after us during our stay, and we were quite sad to leave. Went into the library to get the better Wi-Fi signal. We also used the bar, which was well stocked and the bartender was very attentive. In the title I said lots of surprises and there really are from the gardens, to the service, to the rooms, to the food, to the spa, to all of it really. I don’t want to say too much as you should really discover it for yourself. This is a National Trust property and is fantastically maintained. A real gem and we will be back very soon.

Four of us stayed for five nights in the Pineapple Cottage. The cottage is very cosy; two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The front bedroom with king size bed is light and spacious but the bathroom is a bit of a squeeze; narrow bath, no shower and no handholds. The second bedroom is smaller with only a double bed but a very nice bathroom. We liked it a lot but it was a bit of a squeeze. The room cleaning was miraculous. We ate in only one night because we wanted to try the local restaurants but the meal and service were excellent. We ate breakfast in every day because it was so convenient. It was good but only just. We found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.
